How many people are in an escape room?
Our “The Frozen King” room has a capacity of between 2 and 8 players.
Our “The Jungle” room has a capacity of between 2 and 6 players.
Are escape rooms difficult?
There’s no denying that escape rooms can be challenging. When you think about it, if you’re not challenged in some way by our escape rooms, then we’re doing something wrong! While some rooms are designed to be more difficult than others, and it’s almost impossible to gauge who will perform well and who will struggle. Everyone takes a slightly different approach. We’ve had escape room first-timers finish the hardest room in record time, and we’ve had seasoned escapologists struggle on our easiest room. The aim should be to have as much fun as possible and not obsess too much about how challenging you may or may not find it. There’s only one sure-fire way to find out, and that’s by trying it out!
Can I leave the game if I am feeling anxious or unwell?
Of course you can! We’re all about having fun here at Lost Reality, and if that’s not the case, it’s only right that you can step outside to take a break. Whenever you feel like you are ready to re-join your companions, just let a member of staff know, and they’ll let you back into the room as long as you’re still within your allotted time (one hour).
Can children do an escape room experience?
We recommend our games for the ages of 13 upwards, but we do, however, allow younger players. Please be aware that some of the game content may be unsuitable for younger players. Kids under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by a paying adult (18 or older). Any children under the age of 8 can join you in the room for free.
Do I need to book in advance?
We strongly recommend that you book and make a reservation in advance. While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, we can offer no guarantee that the room is either ready or available. To book your room of choice, simply head over to our booking page.
Why do I need to create password to book online?
We require all of our guests to create an account so that they can check and manage their bookings online. It’s a straightforward process, and better still, it makes booking again a cinch, since all your details will be saved ready for your next reservation. Please note that our website is fully secure and we neither store nor have the ability to view passwords on our end. If you would prefer not to create an account, you can always call or email us to make your reservation.
Why I must have to sign a waiver?
When you book a game with us, you were required to sign a Liability Waiver. They essentially say you’re aware that there’s a risk of injury, and you’re okay with it. It is unfortunate, but we live in a society where individuals always look for someone else to accept responsibility when something goes wrong.
As escape room serves many others, we open ourselves up to the possibility that something unexpected could happen, and someone could get hurt. If that happens, we could be found responsible in a court of law, even if we did everything in our power to protect our customers from harm. Ultimately, we provide a safe and fun environment here at LOST REALITY, we abide by building and fire codes, and we certainly don’t cut corners in construction of sets and props. What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change, which is why reservations can be cancelled up to 24 hours before your session time for a full refund. A cancellation fee of $10 per person applies for cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance. If you need to cancel your game with us, give our team a call, and we will be happy to assist you. Alternatively, you can manage your booking here if you have an account with us.
Can I reschedule?
Yes, absolutely! Give us a call any time before your reservation, and we will be happy to assist you. Alternatively, you can manage your booking here if you have an account with us. You are only allowed to reschedule the original booking with us twice, a cancellation fee of $10 per person applies if you fail to attend your booking after rearranging twice, or you wish to reschedule for a third time.
Do you have parking?
Yes, we have plenty of parking just in front of our shop.
Are your games wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we can accommodate disabled guests. Please contact us beforehand, and we will help you select the best game room based on your condition.
Can I play if I’m claustrophobic?
Yes, it’s still possible to play if you struggle with claustrophobia. Some of our escape rooms have ample space, and we leave our doors unlocked for you so that you can just leave the room if you feel overwhelmed at any moment. We can cater to your particular needs depending on your condition. Please contact us if you have any concerns and we will do our best to help.
Is there any physical activity?
No, there’s no physical activity required. The only muscle you’ll be exercising is your brain!
Can we bring food or drink into the room?
We kindly ask that no food or drink is taken into our escape rooms. Alcohol is also strictly prohibited on our premises.
What should I bring with me?
You don’t need to bring any equipment with you; everything you need is included as part of the experience. The only thing we recommend bringing is your glasses if you require them for reading.
What are the rules?
Besides behaving in a respectful manner towards our staff members, other guests, and our property, we only have one important request: we do not permit the use of mobile phones or similar devices within the rooms.
While it’s tempting to take pictures, part of the experience is the atmosphere of “going into the unknown.” We would be very disappointed if everyone knew what to expect before they went into the room.
Upon arrival, our friendly staff will also go through a thorough safety briefing and cover any other guest code of conduct requirements before you enter the escape room.
